Coating and laminating company, FLEXcon, is releasing a new line of high-temperature polyimide films that are able to withstand the demanding environments found in the printed circuit board manufacturing process. Heat resistance testing on the company’s THERMLfilm HT products has revealed endurance at 500°F/260°C continuously for five minutes and intermittently at up to 750°F/398°C. The films also have a specially formulated topcoat to provide a super smooth printing surface that makes it an ideal substrate for high-density information such as data matrix codes, and provides consistent ANSI PCB Assembly scannability. L.a.b barcode scannability testing reveals consistent ANSI scannability even after exposure to high heat. The topcoat also has static dissipating qualities to minimize the risk of print voids and ensure optimum print quality and consistency. FLEXcon plans to build a comprehensive line of high-temperature films with additional product launches in the future.
Hallmark provides PCB assembly services including rapid prototyping, rework services, and modification of existing builds.
